Words of the Locksmith (giclée print)

from $45.00

Fine art giclée print.

100% Real Cotton, Matte Finish, 340 gsm 125 lbs

The original is a charcoal drawing. This piece is meant to demonstrate that silence is not golden but death. In our society we are told to keep quiet about uncomfortable topics and emotions, we were conditioned to consider it rude or ill mannered. Simultaneously this social stigma silences the soul in times of stress and abuse. When a person finally breaks free from a traumatic life (if they do) the people around them are in disbelief as they can’t imagine everything that person had gone through because they wouldn’t let them share at the time they needed to. These people are often the ones uttering the phrase “we had no idea”. I was lucky and got out of my abusive relationship (after many attempts) alive, not all of us are so lucky.
